I don't know why I waited so long!! The staff here are all amazing and answered every question I came up with. The procedure was so quick and painless. The after care instructions were clear and easy to follow. And for the first time in over 20 years I can see the world without having glasses on my face. I was very double minded last year But Dr. Gaines very patiently explained what I will undergo and what is mini mono vision. Mono vision needs a lot of Neuro plasticity/ neuroadaptibility and could take months to get adjusted to. But if you want just a little under correction so you can see up close slightly better if you are someone like me above 45. Her patience and dedication was remarkable. Dr. Ellis who did my surgery although the interaction with him was brief bcoz believe it or not the procedure is over before you know it. And there is no pain whatsoever. At every moment while operating he said now it will get dark now you will see green light, those subtle suggestions we’re putting me to so much ease because it felt like I am seeing pitch dark for a second bcoz I am supposed to see, I am seeing blinking green light or pressure because I am supposed to see. I was a little nervous bcoz I was seeing better upclose than far right after the procedure and Dr. Ellis explained how once healing start with collagen matrix getting back the way it ought to in 24 hours you will see exactly how you should. And guys that is exactly what happened. I am sure there are complications just like any other procedure all I can tell you is my experience. I M an Inf Dis physician and 80% of my patients are arthroplasty infections- so that doesn’t mean that someone whose life can be changed by a TKA shouldn’t get it done!! Bcoz I see a skewed 2% patients 98% people do well!! Please consider case by case, they will tell you if you are a candidate or not. And post op dryness is real please put preservative free eye drops every 2 hours!! Good luck and God Bless🙏

LASIKPLUS TELEHEALTH CONSULTATION ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I hereby acknowledge and agree as follows:
- My participation in a LasikPlus TeleHealth Consultation (“Consultation”) is completely voluntary.
- I am interested in learning more about laser vision correction (“LASIK”) at LasikPlus. The Consultation will provide me with the opportunity to learn more about LASIK at LasikPlus.
- I understand that I will be speaking to an optometrist and/or non-medical staff during the Consultation, neither of whom are an ophthalmologist.
- The Consultation is not an eye exam. There will be no eye testing conducted during the Consultation. My medical history will not be discussed during the Consultation. I will not be provided with medical advice of any kind during the Consultation.
- If I have medical questions, those questions will not be answered during the Consultation. I can ask medical questions to a doctor when I attend an appointment at a LasikPlus vision center.
- A determination as to my candidacy for LASIK will not be made during the Consultation. Candidacy for LASIK will only be assessed when I attend an appointment at a LasikPlus vision center, undergo the necessary testing, have my eyes examined, and have my candidacy determined by a medical doctor.
