Dr. Melissa Bright's Bio and Credentials
Dr. Melissa Bright has been working in the field of optometry since 2010 and has specialized in the optometric management of refractive surgery patients since 2013.
Dr. Bright received her Doctorate in Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry and completed an Internship at SUNY University Eye Center in Manhattan, NY. Throughout her career, she has garnered experience in various ophthalmologic and optometric clinic sub-specialties including oncology, retina, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, cornea/cataract, pediatric and primary care. She even served as a volunteer optometric instructor at Beth Israel Medical Center, Emergency Medicine Residency Program where she conducted workshops for emergency medical residents.
During her free time, Dr. Bright enjoys powerlifting, watching trivia game shows, and spending time with her family and two dogs.

Very helpful staff. Dr. Smith was great. The entire 5-10 minutes I was in the operating room we were making small talk and it was very seamless. Recovery process was minimal as long as you take a nap afterwards and are ok with taking eye drops every hour and pills twice daily. Thanks Dr. Smith! Update: 10 days later and I am feeling 99%. Eye drops every once in a while for dryness, but I have 0 regrets.
