Eugene Smith, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Smith has been performing laser vision correction since 2000 when he joined LasikPlus. In total, Dr. Smith has performed over 150,000 laser vision corrections.
Dr. Smith completed 7 years of surgical training after finishing medical school and has been in practice for more than 12 years since completing training. A life changing experience. I went from a -10.50 with a stigmatism to perfect 20/20 in just 3 weeks from surgery. I was able to make an appointment and get an exam within 24 hours and was scheduled for surgery in 72 hours! Incredibly efficient, friendly and professional. There is no pain only some pressure on your eye for about 10 seconds per eye. You watch the laser correct your vision. I literally saw my vision improve during the surgery. It was miraculous. Recovery at first was disorienting. You can see immediately but I was extremely light sensitive and was told to keep my eyes closed for about 6-8 hours (I took a nap). Once I woke up, my eyes were slightly irritated for a few days and my vision was adjusting but I was able to work immediately. After about a week I was fully recovered from any irritation, sensitivity etc. I'm only 3 weeks in but my vision is confirmed 20/20 and now the only issue is that my eyes sometimes slightly refocus- which is getting better and better each day. Highly recommended.
