Sean Edelstein, M.D. is a diplomat of, and double board-certified by, the American Board of Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Edelstein completed a Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis and joined LasikPlus in early 2020. Dr. Edelstein serves as Associate Professor at St. Louis University and is Director of Cornea Services for their residency training program. He has particular expertise in laser refractive surgery, lens-based and cataract surgery, and corneal transplantation. In recognition of his expertise, he has been named one of the Best Doctors in America every year since 2011. In his free time, Dr. Edelstein likes to travel, cycle, and spend time with his family.

This was a great experience. I would rather get Lasik eye surgery then get my teeth cleaned! It was so painless and so easy! The staff and the doctors are amazing.
The entire experience was beyond phenomenal! Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. I can’t explain how great the entire staff was to work with; from the initial over-the-phone consultation, the staff who performed my exam and explained the procedure and eye drop directions, all the way to the wonderful Gaines, OD and Ellis, MD! I cannot thank all of them enough for my new perfect vision! After glasses and contacts for more than 25 years, I am ecstatic to finally be able to leave them behind! If anyone is considering LASIK I highly recommend having it done and choosing this team in St. Louis, MO will not disappoint.
Easy to schedule appointments (and reschedule as needed). The staff were kind and patient. I was terrified about this procedure, but they explained each step along the way and offered to stop and take a break if needed. The procedure was easier and faster than expected. Recovery has been easy as well. Two days later and I’m seeing 20/15 in both eyes. The procedure is affordable, and my vision insurance (VBA) worked for a discount. This made the cost for my LASIK almost the same as what my husband paid 9 years ago.
