Dr. Aesha Dharia's Bio and Credentials
Dr. Dharia has been practicing optometry since 2010. She completed her residency in ocular disease and pre- and post-surgical care at Omni Eye Specialists, which provides an additional intensive clinical training that less than 20% of optometrists complete. In addition, she is working towards becoming a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. Her doctorate of optometry is from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is currently pursuing her degree in Public Health at John Hopkins University anticipating to graduate in 2013.
Dr. Dharia enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with her family, and cheering for the New York Football Giants. Dr. Dharia continues to give back to the community and provide eye care to the less fortunate through volunteer organizations as she did in Haiti.

I went to the Alexandria office. When you walk in, you are greeted by the wonderful staff. You get to watch a video. You'll meet with the tech to take a look at your eyes. They conduct an extensive eye examination to see if you are a candidate for lasik. Next, you meet the doctor to go over a few questions you might have. The rest is up to you. I came on Tuesday. I must admit, I was nervous. They answered all my questions and concerns. I received my lasik on Friday. Dr. Wills was great, he explained what he was going to do. He performed the surgery within ten minutes, and I was done. He also explained that you will have 10 hours of blurred vision and 5 hours of being uncomfortable. To go home and take a nap. They give you a goody bag of artificial tears and medicine drops, pm tyenol and instructions. My follow-up was the next day. I would recommend anyone this to everyone. All I can or sing lol I can see clearly now...
I truly loved the experience. While the procedure itself wasn’t the most pleasant, it was absolutely manageable. The doctors made sure I felt informed and comfortable every step of the way. The facility was clean and professional- parking in Alexandria was inconvenient, but nonetheless, they were flexible as I arrived late to my f/u. This has been one of the best investments I’ve made in myself, and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s a good candidate.
A wonderful experience that made the process of fixing my eyes so easy and I’m so glad I did it. The thought of eye surgery is intimidating but everyone answered my questions and walked me through every step. The doctor was wonderful, talking me through the scariest parts of the procedure and everyone who assisted was patient, friendly and kind. If you’re considering eye surgery I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.
