David Jeng, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a general ophthalmologist, who also specializes in retinal disease, especially age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Jeng completed his ophthalmology training and residency at the top-10 ranked Doheny Eye Institute/Los Angeles County Hospital of the University of Southern California. Prior to his training, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship at London’s prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital. A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians as well as a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Jeng combines an impressive educational background and deep clinical experience with a strong desire to provide attentive, personalized care to his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and good food.

I have worn glasses since I was around 9-10 years old, before ultra thin lenses came into the field I had bottle cap thick lenses and suffered without my glasses, unable to see anything within inches of my face. I went May of 2024 for my first exam to check if I was a viable candidate for lasik surgery. I was told not only was I a candidate but they usually have appointments for the same week. They told me even with my severe astigmatism and poor vision I would be able to see again like when I was a young child. I was in and out within an hour. They printed me a comprehensive paperwork sharing the process of the surgery, what healing was like and financing. They shared with me there is also usually sales or discounts on the overall surgery a few times a year. I signed up for the care credit account and went back this month, having a new exam to make sure nothing had changed. I was approved again, testing well and booked my surgery for the same day. I went in at 11am for my exam and 1pm for my surgery, I left the office by 1:30. My surgery was fully covered by my care credit account, so I will be able to pay in installments. I got off the take being able to see again and was told by the doctor it would only get better from here. The surgery is bladeless, only lasers which made me a lot less fearful. I love everyone at the office and they are always kind, informative and quick to help whatever way they can. I have two bottles of drops I was provided to do daily for a month and sunglasses provided by the office to wear for the next few days. I am happy to say I have a new lease on life. I never thought I’d be able to see the world around me normally ever again. LasikPlus proved me wrong and gave me my sight back!
