What Real LasikPlus Patient’s Are Saying About Us

LASIK Questions and Answers

  • What happens during my free consultation?

    • Your free consultation will take up to 90 minutes. We’ll check the overall health of your eyes, as well as conduct a series of LASIK specific tests to ensure your candidacy and provide you with a customized treatment plan to correct your unique vision needs.
    • We’ll answer any questions you still have about the treatment, results, financing, or anything else!
    • If you’d like, we’ll schedule your treatment — some patients even choose to have the treatment on the same day!
  • Does LASIK hurt?

    • LASIK and laser vision correction procedures are virtually pain-free, because the eyes are numbed with anesthetic drops prior to the procedure. Patients will feel light pressure during the procedure, but it is not uncomfortable. Following the procedure, most patients do not experience pain, and wetting drops can be used to alleviate any dryness or scratchiness.
  • How much does LASIK cost?

    • We want to help everyone experience life free from the hassles of glasses and contacts. That is why we provide Custom, all-laser LASIK for 20% below the national average price. To obtain your exact cost, schedule your free LASIK consultation and we’ll use factors such as your current vision prescription, corneal thickness, and overall health of your eyes to provide you with the cost of your customized treatment plan.
    • We offer a variety of financing options that fit almost any budget, from $0 down or 0% interest, to plans with monthly payments of $100 or less‡.
    • We can also help you in using your Flexible Spending (FSA) or Health Savings (HSA) Accounts to pay for your LasikPlus procedure.
  • What questions should I ask my surgeon?

You should ask your surgeon any and all questions you have. Trust us, we’ve heard it all! Here are some of the more popular topics our patients ask about:

    • Your surgeon: Feel free to ask your surgeon questions about his/her medical experience, like where and when your surgeon earned his/her medical degree(s), and how long he/she has been performing LASIK, or how many procedures he/she has performed. It’s not only important that you’re comfortable during your procedure, but that you’re confident in your surgeon.
    • The procedure itself: Many patients are curious about how LASIK is performed, what kind of laser technology is used, and what they can expect to experience during and after the procedure.
    • The cost: Your surgeon can tell you about the cost of the procedure,  and what is included (for example, how many follow-up visits are needed, and what you should expect immediately after surgery). If you’re curious about financing options, don’t be shy – your surgeon can fill you in there, too.
  • How long does LASIK surgery take?

    • While you should prepare to spend around 90 minutes at your doctor’s office for both your pre-op vision exam and treatment, the surgery itself takes less than 10 minutes. In fact, the laser will be used on each eye for less than a minute!
  • How soon after LASIK will I see well?

    • Most patients have immediately improved vision following the procedure. Naturally, there will be some blurriness of vision, but most patients see clearly within 24 hours and return to work the next day.

*Individual results may vary. ‡See website for details.
