Does LasikPlus offer SMILE?

At LasikPlus, we carefully evaluate and consider technology to ensure it represents an advance in the care of and clinical outcomes achieved for our patients. This deliberately conservative philosophy means that rather than adopting technology broad-scale and potentially exposing patients to any potential clinical issues that could arise as more procedures are performed and more experience is gained, we often pause on new technology until more is learned about the results provided. This includes the newly introduced  ReLEx SMILE® technology.

ReLEx SMILE®, which involves the surgeon creating a small keyhole incision in the cornea through which a tiny amount of tissue is removed, while intriguing, its novelty remains a concern for LasikPlus, so we do not yet current offer SMILE.
