A sought-after authority in the field, Dr. McCurry has presented at national ophthalmology meetings and is published by esteemed societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Since 2020, Dr. McCurry has been a pivotal member and the current Chair of the Physician Leadership Council for LasikPlus, LASIK Vision Institute, and TLC Laser Eye Centers. He guides a substantial group of eye doctors and surgeons, showcasing his commitment to advancing the field.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. McCurry holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering but chose a medical career to make a personal impact on people’s lives. He extends his dedication globally through multiple Ophthalmic mission trips, assisting individuals in Peru and South Africa.
In his leisure, Dr. McCurry cherishes outdoor activities with his wife and two sons. Committed to community service, he volunteers as a youth sports coach and serves on the local Little League Board of Directors.

I'm afraid to give 5 stars because it's only been 3 days since I had the procedure but I'd do it again. The procedure itself and a few hours after before the highly recommended nap was super intense. Can't say really painful but intense. Like you cut up a pound of raw white onions. But once I took that highly recommended nap I've been 100% ever since. Now my eyes look like I'm about to turn into a demon but there is no discomfort and the blood shot red eyes will get better ina couple of weeks. My vision is now 20/15!!! I'm pleased and if you are tired of wearing glasses and contacts and you are agl good candidate....do it!! Oh the Jax location has the best staff hands down....everyone is amazing!!

I had an absolutely excellent experience with LasikPlus and Dr. McCurry in Jacksonville. From start to finish, everything was smooth and professional. Dr. McCurry is clearly very experienced and made me feel completely comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. I had my LASIK surgery just last Thursday, and now, one week later, I’m feeling amazing with my vision—clear, sharp, and better than I ever imagined. I had no complications at all and the recovery was quick and easy. I’m so grateful to the entire team at LasikPlus. Highly recommend!

There is nothing but praise for this place! The staff, doctors, treatment, facility are top notch and ultra professional. I was a little nervous but everyone from the front desk to the doctors made me feel like it was going to a great experience and it was. I can now see up close and distant. I did the mono vision treatment. It might not be for everyone but for me it was perfect!
