Dr. Alison Zambelli is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in cornea and laser vision correction. With expertise in procedures such as LASIK, PRK, and presbyopia-correcting treatments, she brings exceptional surgical skill and personalized care to patients seeking improved vision. She additionally operates a cornea-focused practice in Wexford, where she serves as a referral resource for optometrists across the Pittsburgh area and the broader tristate region.
A recognized contributor to ophthalmic research, Dr. Zambelli began her scholarly work at Wills Eye Hospital and has since published peer-reviewed studies focused on corneal conditions. She has presented findings at major conferences, including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Notably, she was a sub-investigator in clinical trials that supported FDA approval of corneal cross-linking and was the first ophthalmologist in Western Pennsylvania to offer this treatment. She remains at the forefront of the field by educating peers on evolving techniques and technologies. Dr. Zambelli also brings a spirit of service, having traveled to Honduras to perform cataract surgeries and deliver eye care in underserved communities.

Doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and kind! Treatment was fast and painless!
Went in for my consultation that I was able to schedule for the same day and they were able to work with me on a payment plan. I was able to schedule my lasik appointment for next following week. Camie has been at all of my appointments including my procedure and has been fantastic and very personable! She made me feel confident in the doctor’s abilities. I had my procedure yesterday(6/13/25) and gave followed the post op instructions and so far the only real side effects I’ve felt have been some dryness and the feeling like I have a dirty contact in my eye. At my post op check up this morning (6/14/25), my vision was 20/20! It was surreal being able to wake up and be able to see! Very excited to see the healing progress and continue my occupation ventures.
Everyone was extremely nice and organized! I was quick in and out for all of my appointments. The doctors were knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend LASIK Plus!
