"My LasikPlus story actually started 43 years ago, when I got my first pair of glasses at age 10. From then until March 17, 2008, I lived with the derision of classmates, the inconvenience of dirty, steamed, or broken spectacles, and finally having to learn how to live with bifocals. I even tried contact lenses a couple of times, but ran into problems with them, no matter which type I used. But on March 17th, my world changed. On that day I nervously took the step that ended up changing my life. I put my faith in the staff of LasikPlus, and was rewarded with a whole new life. Imagine waking up in the morning and being able to see the face of your loved one clearly, without having to reach over and put on your glasses first. People can see more of the real you. They can relate to you better and they seem to be more likely to understand what you really are trying to communicate to them. For several years, I have been a public speaker and, at times, an individual counselor. I was always good at connecting with people and developing a rapport with them. "It was December 27, 2005. Two days after Christmas. I lived in a 3 bedroom apartment on the bottom floor. I was sleeping in my bed. I woke up to some commotion in the living room. I thought it was my roommate and his brothers. So I laid my head back down to go to sleep. A minute later my bedroom door is kicked in. I looked to see who it was, but my glasses were sitting 3 feet away from me on my computer table. We were being robbed. My roommate, his girlfriend, and I wore ordered into the bathroom. I wasn't able to get my glasses. My vision was so bad the 5 assailant's faces were all blurry to me. They were apprehended about 10 days later. Good thing my roommate and his girlfriend had good enough vision to identity them! I vowed I would never be helpless like that again. Less than a month after the robbery I had my LasikPlus procedure completed."
