Working in optometry since 2008
Dr. Shosted began working at LasikPlus in 2008 as a fourth year optometry student extern at LasikPlus of Portland, Oregon. Following his graduation from Pacific University College of Optometry, Dr. Shosted returned home to Utah, and accepted a position with LasikPlus of Salt Lake.
Dr. Shosted serves as an adjunct faculty member for Western University College of Optometry, training fourth year optometry student externs in refractive surgical care much like he began.
Dr. Shosted feels that each member of the Salt Lake LasikPlus vision team plays a very important role in the patient’s experience. Each team member is experienced in the refractive surgery industry and truly cares about each patient’s experience and outcome.
Dr. Shosted’s free time away from work is spent with his three adorable kids and beautiful wife. They love going on walks and playing at the park. They love the outdoors and are thrilled to be back home in Utah. He occasionally finds time in his busy schedule to run or watch an episode of The Office or Modern Family. Dr. Shosted had LASIK himself in 2009.
